Close to getting 230k...

I am not kidding this time round, it's true. I was checking my email and saw this email Reader Digest sent me saying that if I click on this link and enter this code, I wuold enter the final round to the 230k. But I didn't did as told, since some people might be using the RD email to send virus to my computer. So I deleted that email in the end...

Anyway, rotten luck! Guess what happen to me at the start of the holiday? I feel down and injured both my knee, then I sprained my ankle the next day while searching for the photocopier shop at the market a stone's throw away from my house.

Anyway, here's a piece of excellent news, at least to me, I GOT INTO RGS THROUGH DSA! But I am still going to work hard though, for PLSE, wanna get the scholarship you see.

Anyway, I felt quite lazy and tired after prelims... Anything to kind of help me or something?

Suddenly remembered something, I received this email a few months ago, it was a chain mail, and the whole thing was something like this:

The man and his friend when to the forest for some experiment or something and the friend took a photo of the man. When the man saw the photo, he fainted because there is a picture of a ghost right next to his own. Then they asked you to scroll down if you wanted to see the photo. Of course I didn't. Not afraid to tell you, it gives me creeps now come to think of it, especially since it is the hungry ghost festival and it is extremely cold and I am writing this post at night.

Suddenly fall in love with The Chronicles of Narnia and The Phantom of the Opera. I am weird.

Connect Singapore

Unlike the usual National Day celebration, this time round, my school celebrated Singapore's birthday at BISHAN. I left the school at about 9am and reached there at around 9.30am or later. The whole Primary 3, 4 and 5 coghort waited at the stadium until 12noon.

For this great event:

I only not like the part where we had to wait for almost three hours sitting on the stadium floor and the dirty and wet toilet strewn with toilet papers. God knows if the floor was previously stained with muddy footprints.

For the first one hour, I was eating my snacks ad reading the book 'Angels and Demons'. Then I did one question of the Science paper I bought and for the rest of the time, I played some games with Yu Xin, Megan hot chilli, Priya and Visha.

After that, we were lead to the road along a big drain and stay for more than ten minutes under the hot sun. One uncommon sight we saw in the dry up drain: a person was cycling in it.

At the signal, we held hands with each other. I am so glad that I have Yu Xin and Visha next to me! Stella was made to hold hands with Caijie.

On the way back home, I was too tired and felt asleep on the bus until Megan came and pinched my cheeks.

I like the pledge card:

National Day Reflection

I am so honoured to be part of the Connect Singapore event. Breaking a Guinness World Record for the longest human chain is not an ordinary achievement. Imagine, over 30,000 youths, together with the President of Singapore, held hands to form an unbroken human chain in the heart of Singapore and reciting the National Pledge symbolising 'one united people'. How ordinary can it get?

The day started with an annual march in by the flag bearers with the National Flag and school flag. Then we proceeded with the flag raising ceremony when we sing the National Anthem and school song, reciting of the podium and pledge and the singing of National songs like “Home”, “Shine for Singapore” and “Reach out for the Sky”.

After that, we went to the Bishan Stadium where we waited for the event to begin. After a tiring one to two hours wait, we were lead out onto the road where we stood hand in hand. We had a few fun rounds of the Kallang waves. The whole event was about only three minutes and then we went back to school.

Personally, I felt that the event was kind of interesting as we both celebrated National Day and form the longest human chain with the President. Speaking of that, I was kind of envied the head prefect as he could shake hands with the President. But I can’t imagine the president shaking hands with thousands of youths, that is.

oops, I almost forgot, today is the start of the Olympics game.

XiaXue VS Dawn Yang :The Great CyberWar

By now, everyone should be aware of the highly entertaining feud between Singapore's queens of controversies Dawn Yang and Xiaxue.

I cannot really remembered much offending stuffs that Xiaxue had wrote about Dawn, but obviously, she must have wrote things which some how got on Dawn's nerves, that being her nature.

And what is the cause of this great World War 3? Simple and sweet. A article in the newspaper claiming that Famous Blogger Dawn was much hotter and prettier that Blogger Queen Xiaxue. Xiaxue used her usual common tactic, writing discriminating stuffs with no concrete proof, accusing Dawn of being fake, unoriginal, plagiarist, exceedingly self-centred, deluded, vicious but most importantly, plastic. With many pictures and posts from other bloggers, she tried to unveil Dawn's mask.

What she wrote includes saying that Dawn had not achieve what she wants, including being a supermodel and more, Dawn had slept with men, Dawn had breast implants and plastic surgery and her features were similar to those ARISSA, Dawn actually earn less that she claims.

Did she succeed?

NO! Striking back, Dawn and her manager, Noel, engaged lawyers from Khattar Wong and filed a defamation suit against Wendy. Emails were send back and forth between Dawn and her manager and Xiaxue and hers. One of them from Dawn to Xiaxue states how Dawn had treated her as a good friend. I quoted (not really the same, but the idea is the similar):

Imagine how fun it would be, two famous blogger of Singapore going out together and party!

And:

Whenever others tried to badmouth you infront of me, I would always stand up for you and explained that you were a good person.

Unknown to Dawn, Xiaxue had never regard her as a friend, but just a model with a blog. In the end, Xiaxue want to avoid trouble and did as she was told in the lawyer's letter.

She deleted all the post she had previously wrote about Dawn, have a public apology on the blog and stated that all those she had written were fake, rumors from the cyber world without concrete proof, but were they just rumors? Or there is more to this that meets to the eyes of fellow netizens? We will see...
